Your Mission.

One of my favorite colors of the moment is mustard yellow. I feel like it’s a color that is easily wearable by most skin tones and it is perfect for spring. Right now is festival season so you are going to be seeing lots of vintage colors, crochets, ponchos, fringe and over sized sun hats. I personally haven’t been much of a festival girl, (you know the ones who buy their tickets a year in advance). Personally, I’m kind of over the whole high wasted shorts with a cropped bra top with smilie faces and yin-yang accessories. I think there’s a more mature way to wear high wasted shorts. I decided to wear mine with a white linen tunic tucked in. I also paired some simple gold accessories with the look, because I didn’t want it to become too busy and the gold really adds a little extra pop off of the mustard yellow shorts. A clean nude patent leather dress sandal accentuates the legs with the shorts making them appear longer and leaner ( I mean, who doesn’t want that?). I did a slightly loose pony tail to keep the front neckline clean, and a light plum colored lip “romancin'” by Mac cosmetics. These photos were taken at the San Fernando Mission in Los Angeles, which happens to be in my opinion, one of the most beautiful parks I have been to yet. The smell of fresh flowers and the warmth of the sun is really quite tranquil and a reminder that spring is in full bloom. Time to get your spray tans, add some new shorts to your spring wardrobe and get out there and smell the roses.
